What is the best way to winterize my RV?

RV Winterize Blowout Adapter with Shut-Off Valve

A huge aspect of winterizing your RV involves ensuring that the water supply system is maintained. Plumbing systems exposed to freezing cold weather can crack due to extremely low temperatures. Using the right winterizing kit helps prevent this.

Air Compressor Water Hose Adapter

Using a portable air compressor with this blowout plug connected to the city water inlet can blow out the lines out completely, ensure that your lines are free of damp.

Prevent hoses from freezing and bursting by draining your plumbing and piping system, which is essential for rv winterizing.

  • 1/4" Industrial Air Quick Connect Plug

The winterize blowout adapter use standard threading - 1/4" male air compressor quick plug to a male 3/4" garden hose inner thread, attach air line to water lines/hose system easily.

  • 12 inch highly flexible air hose

The 12" hose is made of flexible reinforced synthetic rubber. Flexible hose can be bent 180° to easily enter tight spaces and minimizes stress on pipes and fitting.

  • Easy to adjust switch design

Easy connect to the standard Air Compressor, water inlet to blow out water lines to winterize RV, camper, personal watercraft, campers, boat and travel trailer, and various plumbing where applicable.

How to winterize blow out adapter for rv?

  • 1. Empty Waste Holding Tanks: Empty and flush your black and gray tanks. Leave the gray vale open when finished, then disconnect the city water supply and turn off RV's water pump.

  • 2. Drain Hot Water Tank: Open the pressure relief valve on RV's water heater and remove the drain plug or anode rod. Use tank rinser flush RV's water heater. Depending on the condition of the anode rod, this may be a good time to replace it.

  • 3. Drain Freshwater tank: Open freshwater tank's drain and allow it to empty, this may take a while depending on how much fresh water is in the tank.

  • 4. Drain Low-Point Drains: Turn water heater bypass valves to the bypass position, open both low-point drains underneath the RV, these may be a bit tough to reach. Turn on each faucet in the RV set to "warm" to allow all water to easily run out through the low point drains.

  • 5. Clear Water Line: When water is no longer running out of the low-point drains, close the valves and turn off all the faucets in RV. Turning on one faucet at a time set to "warm" to open both hot and cold lines at the same time, nlow compressed air through the system one or two times until the water clears out of the faucet.

  • 6. Blow Out Water of the Outdoor Shower: Don't forget the out door shower, just use blow the remaining water out of it with the air compressor.
